Editorial Policy

The Journal of Research in Agriculture and Food Sciences is committed to upholding the highest standards of editorial independence, transparency, and ethical publishing. The journal operates in accordance with internationally recognized editorial policies, including the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing developed by COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, and WAME, as well as the ICMJE and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) guidelines.

1. Editorial Independence

The editorial decisions of the journal are made independently and are not influenced by the publisher, sponsors, advertisers, or other external parties. The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the content of the journal and all editorial decisions, including article selection, acceptance, and rejection.

The Editor-in-Chief may be supported by Associate Editors and an Editorial Board, who contribute their expertise in evaluating manuscripts and guiding the editorial direction of the journal.

All content decisions are based on:

  • Scientific merit and quality

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope

  • Ethical compliance

  • Potential contribution to the field of agriculture and food sciences

2. Role of the Publisher

The Journal of Research in Agriculture and Food Sciences is published by Eldaghayes Publisher, an independent academic Libyan publishing organization. While Eldaghayes Publisher provides technical and administrative support, it does not interfere with or influence the editorial decision-making process. Editorial operations are conducted independently of any commercial or organizational interest.

Each journal published under Eldaghayes Publisher, including this one, operates with full editorial autonomy. The packaging or promotion of multiple Eldaghayes Publisher journals does not affect the independence of this journal’s editorial board or its publication standards.

3. Editorial Board and Peer Input

The Editor-in-Chief is supported by an international Editorial Board composed of experts in relevant fields of agriculture and food sciences. The board plays an active role in:

  • Advising on journal policy

  • Assisting in the peer review process

  • Promoting the journal in their academic networks

We also welcome input from readers and researchers to help improve editorial quality and transparency.

4. Ethical Standards and Conflict of Interest

All editors, reviewers, and authors are expected to act in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies. Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist. Please refer to our Conflict-of-Interest Policy for more information.

Editorial content, commentary, and research published in the journal are free from commercial or institutional bias. The journal does not allow advertising or sponsorship to influence editorial decisions.

5. Transparency and Accountability

The journal is committed to full transparency in all editorial procedures. This includes:

  • Clear author guidelines and publication fees

  • Public peer review and editorial policies

  • Transparent correction and retraction procedures

  • Regular editorial board updates

We strive to ensure that the peer review and editorial processes are conducted ethically, fairly, and consistently for all submissions.
